well to be true to myself
I could not get anything understood. I saw some books but they start too high with fourier transforms and all that so...........
I hope you get what I want to say.

basically, pass band signal is the frequency band which is allowed by the filter.
more simply in terms of filter, if the filter allows only selected band of frequency and filters all the other frquencies, is called passband filter and
the band of frequency, used is called pass band frquency. this frequency is nothing but signal.

i would like to suggest you that first read the theory of passband signals from any good communication book.then move to the fourier Transformers.
