welltap

Hello,

Can anyone please comment on the difference between welltap cells and filler cells used in PnR?

Thanks,
Prasad

filler cell

Well taps are placed at regular intervals to provided bias to the N-well.
There is a constant voltage in the N-well since the well taps placed at regular intervals maintain the potential.

Filler cells provided the rail connectivity. If there is a vacant space between two standard cells, a filler cell can be placed between them to connect their power rails.

Correct me if I am wrong.

Thanks.

I am not sure about Well tap cells But regarding Filler cells useless_skew is correct........

useless_skew is correct on both points.
