PICKIT2 is all about it as of now. there are many Compatible kits in market, if you want to assemble. But be sre that you have facility for programming firmware into the master that goes into the KIT.
The JDM2 is very cost effective solution, it can even program dsPIC30F series (dsPIC30f4011 ,30f3014, 30f2010) in conjuction with WIMPIC progrsmming software.
