rocket i/o

I am developing a board carrying a Virtex-II pro device. I want to bring out the Rocket-IO transceivers to connectors on the board. No specific transmission protocol has been finalised.
I am searching for generic connectors that can be used with Rocket IO.
Any feedback is welcome

Thanx

Re: Rocket I/O

I am sure many of you have already used Rocket IO in many of your designs.
I just want to know what kind of connectors you used and what can be used.

Help plese....

Re: Rocket I/O

Perhaps, we're doing the same thing. I choose HSSCD2 connector for AMP. Support Infiniband 1x interface. The connector & cable is not difficult to get.

Re: Rocket I/O

I am currently doing a design right now.

The main question is what is the speed of the serdes connection that you are going to use? This is somewhat dependant upon the part you pick.

Re: Rocket I/O

As the protocol has not been finalized yet, I want to support the maximim frequency the Rocket IOs support. i.e., 3.125 Gbps

Re: Rocket I/O

SMA or Rosenberg end launch connector will be a good choice for you
