HELLO ALL,
IN RADARS IN TRANSMITT MODE USE THE COSECANTSQUIRE PATTREN,HOW WE CAN GET THAT PATTERN

THANK YOU.

Csc²θ patterns are used to illuminate the ground at a constant power density. They are achieved with distorted parabolic reflectors. "Spoiler" plates are also occasionally seen to approximate the shaped pattern. Skolnick probably has a discussion of the technique in his Radar Handbook.

Tecom has a reflector called an "Elpar" , as I recall, that approximates this distortion.

explain any advantage in elevation applications in air targets

u can get cosecant squared pattern using lots of beam shaping techniques
gor through books by
Mailloux on phased array antenna handbook
and antenna theory and design by collins

Hello,

cosec beam are useful since they rpovide the same "amplitude" echoes for target at the same height regrdless of the distance RADAR-target.

Bye.
