Hi all,

Mod sorry if i put this question at wrong thread, please just simply move it if needed.

I got some problem when interface my 430F147 uC to sim 100.
My system already work wells. But sometime when I leave it active about 2-3 (or more) months, my firmware is looping on sim_waiting_response function. Seems like the sim module didnt response at command from my uC. Of course I already put a autoreset routine which will handle it. But just want to figure out, Is there anyone have problem with sim 100 gprs module firmware when trying (or use it for long time) , like sim 100 hang or no response?

Thanks,
arteoq

Hi,
Do you know whether your micro is at fault or the sim, in any case it really does not matter since this situation is to be expected for any continuously running digital system. That is why watchdogs are used for such systems, and since you have two controllers working, you should trigger the watch dog for failure of either system.
Regards,
Laktronics
