CST's applications can be classified as high performance computing. Therefore the CPU, memory and graphic performance should meet high requirements. Likewise a sufficient power supply and heat flow have to be ensured for the PC. Thus we strongly recommend to buy a complete package from a brandname manufacturer, e.g. DELL, HP, or IBM.
We strongly recommend that the following components are chosen for the hardware:
• Front-Side-Bus with 1.600 MHz (supported by e.g. Intel® Xeon® CPUs E5482 & E5472)
• Fast memory modules supporting 800 MHz
• Memory modules need to be arranged in multiples of four (4 modules, 8 modules, etc)
• Power supply/adapter with 1 kW (especially important when many memory modules or an Acceleware acceleration card is used)
The attached PDFs contain two DELL PC configurations with selected components working together properly.
It contains a Dual-CPU System of Quad-Core Intel® Xeon® processors (3,0 GHz, 1.600 MHz FSB), also called "Harpertown". The PC system is equipped with 16 GB FBD memory, and it is recommended for the usage of CST STUDIO SUITE™.
For an high-end PC system we recommend to extend this system to 32 GB FBD memory. The extension might be necessary e.g. for large-scale simulations or when using the Integral Equation solver of CST MICROWAVE STUDIO®, or if the Acceleware hardware acceleration equipment is used.
NOTE: CST assumes no liability for any problems due to the following hardware recommendation.

All,

I work at Acceleware, so if you have any questions regarding speeding up your simulation runtimes using our Products, don't hesitate to contact me or visit our website www.acceleware.com.

Thanks

Hi jkivi
does your company is a part of NVIDIA.COM or they are just using the nvidia GPU?

NVIDIA have almost the same product. named Quadro Plex Model IV $10,750.00 and Quadro Plex Model II $20,500.00

I think the same price at acceleware to.
