can any one please tell me the working of capacitor Cd (in d link)that is added between gate and drain of nmos.... only thing i know is its added to avoid input output coupling.
is there any other functionality of this capacitor.

also on what should be the value of this capacitor when designing the ckt....[/img]

input output coupling

the capacitor has negative feedback through it and hence it compensates miller effect and hence avoiding input output coupling so the value of the capacitance should be an approximation of the gate drain capacitance....

other functionality of the capacitor is increasing bandwidth as it counteracts miller effect....
