Error when connecting to MPLAB ICD 2 - failed to open port

When i try to connect mplab replies me with that.Please help

ICD0019: Communications: Failed to open port: (Windows::GetLastError() = 0x2, 'El sistema no puede encontrar el archivo especificado.

ICD0021: Unable to connect with MPLAB ICD 2

Hi Gerardo_waldo,
This is a common problem. You need to switch off the target. Remove the USB connection of ICD2 from PC. Close the MPLAB IDE. And then re connect the ICD2 to PC. After this open the IDE and start working.

MPLAB IDE is executable program that integrates a compiler, an assembler, a project manager, an editor, a debugger, simulator ...

Nothing wrong with MPLAB, it's what professional PIC users use and it's free.
