Hi friends,
One technique used in order to evaluate the performance of a network topology is to plot the graph of Latency function of the load Lat=f(Load). I know that N2-S tool for exemple can plot these graphes but I wanna do it manually and I am investiguating how.

That I dont understand is that in many papers using this technique in order to evalute a network performance some other factors that affects the graphes shape are not mentionned. If I'm not wrong ploting Lat=f(load) depend on Load, the routing algorithm (always mentioned ie X,Y algo), The routing technique (i.e Wormhole) and especially the traffics.
Load, routing algo and techniques are discussed in these papers however it is not the case for the traffic.
For exemple, suppose that we aim to plot this graph for a Mesh (3x3) network in which the 9 nodes are numbered as shown in the figure bellow.
For a load of 1/9=11 % (1 nodes among 9 sending data to another node), suppose we consider the node numer 2 sending data and we wanna plot the corresponding latency point on this graph.
The problem is that the latency depend on the destination node so we'll have a lot. I don't thik that I shoud compute the average latency since this will became extremely complicated for a load of 60% to 100 %.
Please Help.

Thanks in advance.
