Can I use ring oscillator for Bluetooth transceiver?

Re: VCO

Ring oscillators usually suffer from high phase noise due to the absence of the tank circuit. The required phase noise for Bluetooth wouldn't be achieved with ring VCO unless a complicated design is used.

VCO

State of the art bluetooth transceivers' VCOs reach the target specs with less than 3mA.
I think it's quite impossible to do so with a ring oscillator.
I hope it can help.

VCO

yeah , the phase noise of the ring oscillator is very high
compred to LC oscillators

i think in the new bluetooth chips the LC oscillators are employed
