uwb bowtie

Hi,

I am trying to simulate a wide band patch bowtie antenna using HFSS. From the literatures, I found the UWB bowtie antenna falls into two categories, slot bowtie antenna with CPW feeding and self-complementary bowtie design. I want to design a patch bowtie antenna with both ties in the same side and as big as possible in comparing with the wavelength. Is it possible?

Can some give a hint how to design a bowtie antenna, such as the roles in the bandwidth, gain of the flare-angle and the dimension of the antenna?

Thank you very much!

Thanks,

I download this paper from the forum before. However, I think the structure is a self-complementary bowtie. The ties are in two sides. I am looking for a UWB bowtie with two ties in the same side of the board.
It helps, though.
Thank you again.

Jennifer
