I am use sonnet and momentum with AMS c35 parameters. So how to setup pattern ground shield in sonnet or momentum?

Hi Logan:

I would think that if you already have the layout created in either Cadence Virtuoso or ADS Layout, you could simply use Sonnet or Momentum through their respective interfaces to these environments. Both tools can be used natively within ADS. Sonnet can be used natively within Cadence Virtuoso, and you should be able to use Momentum in Cadence through the RFDE software suite, which is basically ADS inside of Cadence.

Otherwise, how are you drawing the structure? I would think that you ground shield is just another pattern of metal, but on a different level than your inductor (i.e., below the windings, and perhaps on or just above your polyshield layer?).

Good luck,
