Hi..

I want to implement a state machine in BRAM. Can anyone tell me how to do this.
Doing this should i need to instantiate any component. If the answer is no, how can i give the constraints to synthesizer and P&R tools.

While Implementing state machine in BRAM, will it have any improvement in speed. Implementing state machine in BRAM is recommended or not.

I am using Precision RTL for Synthesis and ISE for P&R. Target device is Xilinx Spartan 3s 2000.

Plz share your ideas.

Thanks

Hi

Thanks for your link, but the link seems like related to Pico Blaze processor.
Dear friend, i want to know about implementing state machine is BRAM.

Usually we write state machine in HDL and get implemented in slices. Now my question is how can i forcefully ask the synthesizer/p&r tool to implement my State machine in BRAM's.

Hope my question is clear.

Thanks
