lm324+current sensing

HI, guy's!
I need simple current sensing circuit on descreet elements.
Thanks in advance!

simple current sensing

What common mode voltage do you have? What the Vdrop across
the sensing element that you are using. This is what will set the difficulty and performance of the circuit required.

Your problem not simple. Use LEM type DC current transformer or
HP analog opto coupler. But these not cheap.

Hi kot_b,

is it current sensing for limiting or do you have to measure current??

You can use Instrumentational Amplifier ( if this allowed as a discrete component) like INA1xx.

Which currents and losses are allowed??

Discrete amplifiers can drift a lot, so you will have to compensate a lot....

Good luck!

Many thanks for replies. :)
So problem is: I need to limit current from both side(zero current detection and current limiting). I look thourght you suggestions... so i need some thing cheapest. May be i can simply use something like LM324 to get diferencial signal from sensing resistor? Are there any other suggestions
Best regards, kot_b

Fogot about main thing: common voltage 48V, current about 0.5A.
