hi friends
how to find the gain of phase detector....??

i can understand that it is output voltage divided by input phase.....
my doubt is how to find it practically ( ie in hspice or cadence)
thanks in advance

I think it is simple , perform multiple simulation runs , each time vary the delay between the two signals applied to the phase detector. monitor the average of the output for each phase difference , then plot the curve of the average output (Voltage or current) versus phase difference (in rads), from which you can find the gain which is the slope near the locking point.

Sweeping the phase (delay time) of two rectangle wave and plot the average voltage of output of PFD.

do somebody know what's the syntax for phase versus average voltage plotting in HSPICE...

i want to display the phase versus average voltage from my Phase Frequency Detector....

thanks for the help....
