Who can i made a single side PCB in Protel DXP ?

Any advice ?

If you need auto jumper place/route, use the 0rc@d lay0ut+
DXP have no this features.

you must to choose the rule layer and put the components side "not used", and in the soldier side "any". Take care, if the pcb is to much complex, they make short circuits, and route everything making shorts circuits, wait to finish, and choose the worst conection and unroute, is sad but now you must use interactive router to finish it.

I probe using diferent rules, etc etc....

If anybody known another maner to do it, telll me please.

If the pcb is simple Protel autoroute very well in single side.

Imposible

Hi all

I try it with many configurations also but its "impossible" at all especially on complex single layer boards. Don't waste your time however the best way
Is bomba's solution I agree with it.

Is there another program that can process single layer pcb;s ?

You need to set the layer stack manager to turn off the layers not in use.

In the layout program right click on the workspace, click the last menu item options, click layer stack manager.

Or just use the shortcut keys D, K :D

On the bottom left hand side click on Menu, Example layer stacks, Single layer.

Then go to Rules using shortcut keys D, R from the browser panel select Design Rules, Routing, Routing Layers, and under the bottom right panel, set Top Layer to Not Used. Scroll to bottom layer and set that to ANY

That should be you set.

But as mentioned above by other user, there is no jumper insert feature like Orcad layout or Pads. Nearly all users I know who make mostly single sided boards use Cadstar, PCAD but mostly Pads for this.

Enjoy :)

I went to a big monitor factory who layout all their boards on paper fenolic single-sided boards. They were using PCAD.
