Hi there,

I am interesting in working with PICs in order to make some circuits for controlling home appliancies. I have an idea doing it by microcontroler wich will react on temperature and sun light both. This is one thing. Another might be doing it by IP from remote. Can you give me some good starting point or may be rederect to some useful web sites.

thank you

If you want microcontroller connected to the internet, check for embedded web servers.

Barni,

Concerning taget devices, you could - for example - control water flow at garden, or animals supply using low-cost solenoids used at washing machines.

Well PIC Microcontroller is a good choice...as a starter to know about PIC, look for PIC 16F84 its a small and easy to use starter chip...
the interface of your microcontroller with the outer world will be done as

Microcontroller>>>Transistor/Relay>>>Device to be operated
