i have some doubt on interarrival time for ethernet network. I have tried using opnet guru lab module. I don undestand the term interarrival time and the exponential values that been assign to it. What those value means? i need to understand the reason why interarrival been assign to exponential values? can anyone explain and if possible provide reading material or website for me to read bout this topic.

thanks

Re: ethernet

please read some queuing theory. you can find many things.
but, the inter-arrival time is the time between arrival of two packets.
