hi there,

im a student doin my final year in telecommunication engin. im suppose to do a 5.8GHz RF power amplifier. its so hard to find the circuit. i have found a 2.3GHz RF power amplifier circuit. i dont know how to upgrade it to 5.8GHz.can anyone help me to find the circuit. i also lacking in the calculation of the circuit......

thanks....:)

You have to do another design to achieve your goal...

Steven C. Cripps
<RF Power Amplifier for Wireless Communications>

the PA u want to design , is CMOS based or discrete device

as totowo said check Steven Cripps book

Right, you need to make a total new design for 5.8GHz applications except the topology may keep the same, since any factors are co-related. List all specifications including the desired frequency. Figure out which one is the biggest bottleneck. then all other circuit parameters are calculated based on this parameter. Probably, theoretical results are impossible, only numerical ones are available. Good luck!

Hello, i am also assigned to a topic close to yours, how did it go? Have you successfully designed your PA? Could you give me some tips? Thank you!
