lithium battery vs

Hi, pls help me to explain the differience between
+ AA battery and (Lithium,Niken..)
+ How much voltage applied at 1 AA Battery to charge them? can I use mobile phone charger?

I always considered AA, AAA, R14 as a size.
Lithium is chemistry. It has no relation to size.

The AA, AAA ... is the size of the battery. The type of chemistry can be ni-cd, lithium NiMh. If the battery is alcaline you can't recharge it otherside you must use a recharge system for the type of battery that you use.
There is some ic that with few comonent do this for example mcp73828 from microchip but there is a lot of this.
