Hello,

I have a new computer which does not have a parallel port.
I need to run Microsim Pspice which uses a security plug on that port.
I bought a parallel port card and plugged it in but it didn't work cause
the card only emulates the port and Pspice plug needs a fixed address.

Does anyone know how I can get around this problem?
Is there a card out there that does have a fixed address?

Thanks for any help.

Re: Microsim Pspice

The security plug was probably manufactured by a different company. Try to find out this company from any markings on the security plug. They will give you advice on which adapter to use. I had similar problems on another program for the macintosh and the plug manufacturer told me which specific adapter to buy and it worked.

Re: Microsim Pspice

Thanks! I'll give it a try.
