I have design a logamp simulated with single tone source as input signal (ADS software).
Logamp is originally a peak detector used for continuous wave RF power measurement.
I wonder, in case input signal is multi cariers or others (CDMA, WCDMA, EDGE, GSM,...), can I still use logamp with some offset tuning for the output? (Some logamp from Analog Device states to be able to measure RF power of all above signal)
Further more, anyone knows how to simulate those kinds of signal source in ADS, plz show me the way.
Thanks alot.

Anyone proficient in ADS helps me plz. I am stuck with this now.

Hi
You can use ADS envelope

also u can use the HB simulation

khouly

the slope is the same but the offset is changed

I used the HB simulation, changing signal source from frequency source 1_tone to modulated sources like CDMA, WCDMA, EDGE, GSM but the results are almost the same, not only slope but also offset. It's like from similar source.
Are there any specific setups for those sources?

i use the AD8313 to do the power detector ,the result in GSM power amplifier, at dirst i use the GSM signal from the E4438C and then use the WCDMA, the result is the solpe is the same and the offset is different, i think the simulation is only a guide; at last i use the AD8362 to solve this problem

Thanks. I'm waiting for the chip fab out. Hope the measurement is similar.
