Suggest me a semester project that uses PIC microcontroller(PIC16F877 & PIC18F452)

Plz sugeest some semester project using PIC microcontroller (PIC16F877 & PIC18F452). It should something tough!

what are the topic you like?
examples are:

talking time & temperature display
chess
accelerometer ( calculate the fuel consumption in dollars)

I would like some suugestion that deals with digital designing .......... Dun like analog stuff!

I have some wage ideas like USB, firewire, Zegbee, Wimax, Bluetooth, Spectrum analyzer, Arbitrary Waveform generator, MP3 player etc. Plz help me out, I couldn't decide what to do with these things??? I need something tough!

You want a real tough one? Many have been trying to interface a nokia 3310 to a pic micro, it uses the fbus mode of the phone, now you can do it as your project, then think of a very good application like remote sensing or any other as long as it uses a nokia phone and fbus cable.

you can implement wireless and write a protocol to sending data and controlling other devices with micro
