Hi everyone,
Im vincent, currently doing a project on speech recognition using microcontrollers(PIC,atmel). i'm quite new to this field.
I've read from ppl that its almost impossible to do speech recognition using microcontrollers,is it true?
My project actually requires me to do it using microcontrollers(and not to use dedicated chips if possible). i've known tht micrcontrollers lack the processing power to do speech recognition but is there any way?
I will start with speaker-dependent,word-recognition. Can anyone help me on the circuit design?
i've heard about the dsPIC being able to do speech recognition, but can't seem to find details on how to use it in the circuit design.
My project will be used further in a home system by another student and i wish to produce a strong circuit design.
if anyone has resources(reports/schematics/algorithm),kindly send me as it will help me a lot. Those who have done this before, pls help me:)

Hi
I think that you could do this with codec instaed od ADC and filter.codecs have filter and ADC converter so your work may be easy with using codec.choose the micro whitch clocks is enough for sampling and processing.
