[SOLVED] Who has orcad layout footprint library

orcad layout footprint libraries

The ORCAD layout foot print didn't support so many footprint.

I already download ESPstarterlibrary on ORCAD web site.
But I still need to create so many part's foot print.


Anyone has footprint library solution.

OrCAD layout has a plenty of footprint libraries,
check it again !

In addition to the available library, you must be able to create and edit the required footprint. Some time it is good practice in order to have a specific and trustable lib.

Yes, sure there is some libraries included in orcad, and of course I realize that I have to do a lot of footprints myself (and I do...)

But does it realy make sense that everyone is doing the same job over and over again to create very common footprints like SOT223-5 SOT23-5,6 SMD electrolyts modern TSSOP and so on. Doesn't anyone know about a place for shared pcb and capture libraries? It would be great to spend time designing schematics instead of libraries!!!

Hi

In Lib Edit of Orcad 10, It have function for create automatic the geometry. The best way is reading document and build it for yourself. Or using the Mentor Pads PowerPCB. it have a lot of Footprint have already support on PCBExpress.
