I'm using IE3D for simulating patch antennas. I want to investigate how materials with different dielectric constants affect the antenna paramters like the resonance frequency. For this I put a dielectric on top of the patch. My goal is to plot the resonance frequency of the antenna as a function of ε. But the dielectric constant cannot be set as a parameter in IE3D so I have to run a lot of simulations for different ε. Is there a way to come around this problem?

Re: Can the dielectric constant be set as a paramater in IE3

Dear
I think dielectric constant is constant parameter in many simulation software.
Usually dielectric constant is specifed with other design parameters in frist time.

Hi, hf1357:

1. At this time, you can't define the dielectric parameters as equations of other parametres.

2. However, on IE3D, the dielectric parameters (except thickness) can be defined as functions of frequency.

Best regards,
