lvs nopower

Hi homejack

Is it just the labels that you have placed or there are corresponding pins as well??? I dont see any pins where the labels are placed.

Regards
Brittoo

It seems that you haven't place the pins, or you have mixed them bad badly!
Accordy to the files uploaded I can't see the pins. Use CTRL+P to create the correct pins and place them according your schematic, or put the pins on the correct position.

please check lvserr.erc or any file associated to erc.
u might have inappropriate text layers. check it once again.

pins are no longer required when you use calibre for verification and VLE for layout.
just be sure you dont have have unattched label.
usually, these error messages are associated with short pins or nodes.

It's only a pin thingy...

You just need to add a metal and label pin.
Base on your layout you use metal1..you need to use metal1 pin and metal 1 label with the right label e.g. vdd.

And then try running LVS again.

:)

calibre lvs error

Usually LVS operation starts from the node correspondance points.. you have not placed the pin layer.. i think you have just put the label on metal.. in virtuoso layout designer there is tab called create -> pin .. type the pin name, assign it as in or out, with suitable pin layer.. then run LVS..

lvs errors

1.check your export layout database..
maybe you check wrong database

2.check your lvs command file
maybe you using wrong layer for text ..
so.. all text attach substrate ... like short

I guess you shall choice "METAL1 pin"

caliber give nothing in the layout error

rename the both shape to be same name, eror will remov, but b sure thy are realy ment to be same

calibre nothing in layout

Net Id: 1... on this net you have add label twice..... making it short virtually.. check this net...

calibre exit code 4

The label "out" crosses M1 on source and drain NMOS. Therefore "out" and "gnd!" shorted. Why the "gnd!" and "vdd!" shorted to tell on image it is difficult. It is better to reduce font height in labels so that they were completely inside corresponding metal. For marks it is better to use a neutral text layer (not attached to any connect layer)
