i am using IR2110 and 740 for motor control
in my circuit i use 100ohms resistor and 1N4148 in parallel HO,LO to Mosfets Gate.
47ohms at VS pin.
inputs volts is 280v.

the mosfet gets heated more 80 deg.
but the motor runs well.
what can be the problem ?
did i need to change the resistor values if this is the problem please tell me where i am wrong.

designs with irf740

where did u get the circuit....
i think some heatsinking will make things just fine.....
if you post the circuit it would help us to understand things more clear.....

ir2110 irf740

I consumes less that 500MA but heat above 80~85 deg.

irf740

i understand that... motors are controlled by current and hence if you are gonna reduce the current then it would affect the speed of the motor.... you better try heatsinking the mosfets.....
Also that resistor you were talking about is just to prevent triggering due to leakage current so it aint any use changing it....
