Problem with following Proakis's Digital Communications

Is the book "Digital Communications", 4th edition by Proakis is tough and difficult to follow, or just me see that?
In both case any suggestions?

book is not difficult

it may be the case student is not taking atention or
teacher is not teaching well

but dont b tense

just use book and google search

also try to get help from

Digital communication by Sklar

i hope ur problem will be solved

Well, I have a bit difficult in following it too.. but I think it's because of the digital signal processing formulas!! :oops:
I can understand the formulas but then I have some difficulties in implemment them as, for example, in MatLab code. :roll:

After a while you'll get used to the estruture of the book and it's language! ;)

Yes, this book can't understand the digital communication aloan u need to read lathi first and then this book.

to understand proakis u should first read the book by proakis & salehi and then the former one.this combination is great.but if u just want to read some specific chapters i can suggest better books for them.

to understand it, u should get sklar, and probability by papoulis and also read a bunch of old papers

No, I do not think so.

only try to read it carefully and to translate every part in each formula by its corresponding block in the diagram atached with each one. and also try to find a suitable reasoning for each block..

That's all

BTW: you might not be able to study digital communication if you're not interested in it.

u first study digicatl communications by sham shanmugam..this is good one digital communications ,then u study proakis so that it will be easy for u to read ...
