DOUBT ON S12X PROGRAMMING USING BDM

hcs12x bdm programming

Hi,

We are using MS9S12XDP512 IC in our project.We need to program it through BDM and we are programming it through METROWERKS CODEWARRIOR.

1)Is it required to enter into the emulation mode for debugging.
2)And also is it required to write seperate BDM driver or is that provided by METROWOERKS CODEWARRIER itself?

Somebody please help..
