Can any one give the formulae to calculate high VSWR

Re: High VSWR

Basically, you can find VSWR when you have the minimum and maximum voltages in a transmission line.

VSWR = (Vmax+Vmin)/(Vmax-Vmin)

Or if you have the power in Watts you can find the SWR using the power inserted in the line and the power that returns.

SWR = (Pin+Preturn)/(Pin-Preturn)

Good luck!

High VSWR

For High VSWR whether there is any other formula other than these if i am working with microwave components

Re: High VSWR

VSWR=(V max + v min)/(V max - v min)

Added after 1 minutes:

For microwave frequencies , i think Smith Chart is best to find VSWR...

Re: High VSWR

VSWR = (Vmax +Vmin)/(Vmax - Vmin)

Where Vmax is the maximum voltage value in the transmission media and Vmin is the minimum voltage value in that same transmission media when the media is used for the microwave signal transmission .

Smith's chart and for antenna the E and H plot directly gives VSWR of the system.
