what is the difference between dial up and DSL in internet connection..?

Re: plsss read

A dial-up connection will be connected to the internet through a local server using a modem.PC literally dials a phone number and connects to the server and therefore the internet. But they are very slow.and are inexpensive
A DSL connection work by splitting your phone line into two separate channels, one for internet and one for phone calls.that means you can talk on the phone and be connected to the internet at the same time. They are fast compared to dial up.
some of the DSL configurations are:-
256Kbps/128Kbps
512Kbps/128Kbps
1Mbps/256Kbps

search in google for more specific details.

regards,
