can any one pls post pros and cons of QAM over QPSK.

difference between qpsk and qam

QPSK can work at a lower SNR and QAM has better spectral efficiency
 

qam vs qpsk

in addition to that, QPSK reaches longer distances than QAM, so in the wireless systems , they prefer to use QPSK.

-QAM used in : color television and in Motorola's iDEN system, Wi-Fi and WiMAX.
-QPSK used in: CDMA , cellular service, wireless local loop iridium , high speeds modem.

differences between qpsk and qam

for the same nbr of canstelation points QAM is better than QPSK
because the difference between the adjanct point in QAM is longer than in QPSK
 

when is qpsk used

QPSK has the best FOG in psk
