what is the difference between single ended and differential mode
 

What object of discussion ?
Input mode or another ?
 

If you are speaking about amplifier output then it simply means :
for single ended that the out put is between a terminal and the ground. (like normal Op amp)
for differential output it means that the output is between two terminals neither of them is the ground. (like normal differential amplifier)
 

Hi,
if the output of circuit is taken differential (Vout+ and Vout-(complement of Vout+ ))
so you deal with differential mode but if you take Vout+ or Vout- or yuo circuit support i output so you deal with single ended mode
I prefere differeential mode because its output is insensitive to noise

the question is about OP AMP.
the op Amp has two inputs.
in single end mode, we give input to one terminal. and the second one is grounded.
but in differential mode we give input signal on both the inputs. for more information u can refer to Floyd.or Sidra Smith
 

the point is that you'll find great explanation in Gray/Meyer 's book of Analog Integrated Circuits"
