8051 board..

hi all,
does anybody have any docs/ shchematics/ tutorial on how to built an evaluation/ prototyping board with 8051 microcontroller? oh by the way, the programmer as well..

thanks :)

Hi
You can use Philips flash controllers 89RC51 ,RD 51 with 32k,64k
and software you can d/l from Philips site
Its free.

bye :)

Try use at89s8252 with spi interface
And any board is not necessary to you
only 4 wires on LPT for programming
controller( soft Pony-prog and It is a lot of another )

Hi all.

First Ilya , the at89s8252 is nice i make some projects with him but
the 89RC51 ..RB,RD... are the new ver of the at89s8252
they are avaliable from phillips and also from atmel
They give you the option to be reprogramed from the uart(also the isp avaliable in some ver too)
and that more compatible with long way interface.
The second important point is the power that that ver give you the
option to be reprogrammable by your own internal program,
and write any time to all the program flash
more powerfull to update your prog from long .
the fail of at89s8252 give your prog the ability to write only to the EE of the 2k
and not to the program memory that need the external isp.

also the at89s8252 have some factory bugs with the programming
and some time the programming fail and the single way to repair that
is only parallel programmer.

Other nice chips are from CYGNAL
WWW.CYGNAL.COM

They are 8051 core copatible, with a lot of aditional options like:
2C/JTAG interfafe for programming and also give you the power
for debbuging.
fast avalible now 25,50 MIPS the 100MIPS in few months.
a/d ,d/a ,internal osc ,capture , small pack like 3mm X 3mm ,and other ......

They are great componnent but the single problem they are not pinout/pakage compatible with standart 8051 fammily.

You can find also developmen kits for all the component
start from price of 99.9$ and they include the serial programmer/debbuger.

Hello,

I´m looking for a small and easy schematic, so I can program a 8051 ds89c450. I just need only some LED´s and some dipswitches for fun.

can You help me?????

Thank You very much, pimritzen@hotmail.com

Re: 8051 board..

Just check the website, you can crate the schematic on a breadboard for prototyping.
