What's the meaning of PTC in varistors?

Hi,

May i know about Varistor got value not?

I got 1 sample, it writen there...

0147

what it mean there? How can i get the datasheet? Can anyone tell me...

Positive Temperature Coefficient (PTC) Thermistors and VARISTORs are two different things, although they both can look like disks ..
PTC increases its resistance with temperature, whereas varistor clamps voltage to its rated level ..

Hi,

Thank for your referenced.

So, can i say my Positive Temperature Coefficient type is C884?

But you show me the datasheet is C 910....990. Can i use any of C9xx to replace my C884?
