Moore Mealy
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1)output depends only on current state 1)output depends on current input
and state
2)less no. of states 2) more compared to moore
3)faster 3)slower
4)generally easier to clock 4)somewhat difficult to clock
5)output is delayed.output doesn't occur until next change 5)output occurs in same state by change in input
Hi Guru ,
ur 2nd and 3rd point is wrong ( u written opposite )
2)More no. of states 2) less compared to moore
3)Slower 3)Faster
Reasons For 2nd Pt. => because in Moore , state may be different for 0 and 1 so there is more number of states.
Reasons For 3rd Pt => O/p will change only at the clock edge (in moore) but in mealy o/p will chage whenever state or input changes (so it will not wait for clk edge) . So Moore is slower than mealy.
