viewing analog signals in cadence ncsim

simvision trace analog

Hi all
is it possible to view a digital signal in it's analog format in ncsim.
it's possible in modelsim SE edition.
pls let me know if it's possible.

IIRC, yes, select your signal, and then select "Format", you cna choose "Analog".

I have done this in SimVision sometime back.

that is in modelsim there's no such option in simvision

Try this:

Select Signal
Goto Tool bar --> Format

I believe there is "Radix, Trace" etc. In one of them there is an "Analog" option.

Yup there is that option.

Select the trace you want to show as analog
Go to the "format" menu, select "trace", and then "Analog / Sample + Hold"

You may not see what you expect at first, but go over to the right hand side of the trace, and click on the little icon that looks like a box, and it will then display all values - you can adjust how it looks at the left hand side of the trace by click/dragging the red line - it will stretch it out in the y direction.
