wat is the audio transformer ?
is it different from other transformers ?
wat is meant by 1000 ohm to 8 ohm audio transformer ??
 

There are several unique characteristics.

One is the frequency range is the audio frequency range. Another rating is impedance of source and load. The power is rated instead of voltages or currents.

It is called impedance matching transformer or sound output transformer... match the transformer output impedance to the impedance of speaker..
