I have been useing the chepeast version of pads from mentor. Now I need a more expensive version because of limiting in the current version.

The cheapeas version pads from mentor costs: 1900 EUR
The more expensive version pads from mentor costs: 5600 EUR

Eagle from cadsoft costs: 1200 EUR for the hole pacage without limitations.

I have used Eagle before, and it did look okey.

The thing is that now I have learn pads, and I have designs in pads, that are going to be updated version of. I also have library that I have made in pads.

So I am in an corner I feel. But I feel next time when I meet the wall with pads because of limitations I have to pay a loot of money one more time.

So my question are, what gives pads that not eagle gives.

Why are eagle that more cheaper?

Any other thoughts?
