hi every body,
i designed a transcondutor in cadence msfb .

After i designing the transconductor , i try to make the
simulation and to analysis the gm characteristic of the transconductor.

As we know Gm=Iout/Vid , however i cannot get the curve for gm coz i cannt
select Iout in the schematic when i do the simulation, i mean all the out
puts are in voltage ,but not current. i need a variable which show the output current ,then i can plot the gm curve by I/V.

or may be there are other ways which i dont know to plot the gm curve .

Could you please tell me how i can plot the gm curve out in cadence ?

Thanks very much

Vicente.

Re: How can i plot a gm curve for a transconductor in cadenc

well you can initally choose the point thro which the current flows in the outputs to be saved option in the analog environment ,,this can be used to plot current..
then from the calculator u can divide the 2 graphs n see

From the DC point of your operation output current, find the nominal output voltage. Then, put the output with ideal DC voltage source. If you run the ac analysis, you can find the transconductance at this nominal bias point.
