mos controlled thyristor

Hi! Have you guys heard about MCT(Mos Controlled Thyristor) before?
I wanna know the characteristic and applications of MCT.

Thanks in advanced!

MCT has an additional MosFET as the input gate. This increases sensitivity and reduces gate current.
The problem: it cannot be turned OFF by reversed polarity as in an ordinary thyristor..
