Hello,
I've been working on a project for BER values of 16 QAM modulation. I need to know what is the typical BERs for this modulation? I think usually 10e-5 is a good value. Any chance to get the lower rates? If not why?
Thank you...

it depends on ur application. if its a voice application 10^-3 is fine while if its data, 10^-6 is preferable

2 general points regardless of type of modulation:

1- if there is multiple access interference, BER can reach a floor and cannot decrease beyound that. while if it is not a multiuser system. i think as u increase SNR, the BER will decrease

2- to decrease the BER, use channel coding
