ESD Design Rules and Automated Checking

I would like to implement a more automated way of checking a circuit for proper ESD design. I've seen a few papers on the subject and also have talked to some companies. Most have designed their own system. There is not a commercial checker (although Synopsys has talked about doing something).

Does anyone have an automated method of checking designs for proper ESD design and layout?
