Hello all!

Does anybody know why the Design Compiler does not support the
synthesis of multidimensional arrays?

And is there any way to make it support it? License perhaps?

Cheers!

multidimensional arrays are usually treate as registerfile or memory, which should be avoid in RTL code.

however ever, DC does support on synthesis it by adding postfix with _<num>_<num>. you can have a try.

Well it gave me an error when reading the HDL file:

Error: Multi-dimensional arrays are not supported for synthesis on line 79 (VHDL-2140

i did not understand what you told me.. change it in HDL file?
