dc-dc boost converter

dc dc converter tl598

I am a poly student and i have to explain the working of a car lap adaptor (12v-19v) which has an ic TN598CN(pluse width modulation),
P60NF06(N-CHANNEL 60V 0.014 OHM 60A TO-220 STRIPFET POWER MOSFET),STPS20H100CT(HIGH VOLTAGE POWER SCHOTTKY RECTIFIER)
please can any one help with this .

Perhaps you should explain/define your problem more fully.

Do you mean laptop PC?
Is your unit a step-up or step-down converter?
If so, to what voltage?
The chips in the device? - have you got their data sheets?

To whom are you explaining?
What is their level of understanding - now and after your work?

To what level must you explain? - level of detail.

Most problems are posted on EDA before any effort is made in the initial problem definition and obvious self-help that can undertaken.

yes it is for a laptop , it is a step up converter , that convert 12v dc to 19 v dc.
I am also attaching the data sheets of the chips and sorry the ic mentioned is
TL598CN.

Also, there is an example of a dc-dc converter with the TL598 and MOSFET(s) .. see picture below .. This example should be very similar to the dc-dc converter that you will be trying to explain .. just change it from step-down to step-up (boost) configuration ..
