i need to create a layout design for basic analog/digital circuits using cadence.
i already have the circuits' transistor level schematics but i don't know how to start my layout design. actually, i don't have to design my own. i can use a layout design, do it in cadence, simulate in our computer and record results provided by the software.

help me start creating layouts.
what are the things that i need before i start?
what are the things that i need to remember before i start with the project?
(such as the rules for the W/L of the transistors, number of fingers, input sources, etc.)
and what results or output should i expect?
(let's say for an inverter)

Before starting Layout, you have to check Design Rule form your foundry.
