how to identify inductors

Hi guys, i'm a complete 100% newbie to electronic...got a basic knowledge...i want to replace an inductor in my radio control transmitter.But the problem is, the inductor only stated 100K...not µH or mH...can somebody please help me...i do bought an inductor which is 1mH is it give any damage if i'd just install it?

identifying inductors

100K in inductor terms means 10µH/10% and should be replaced with similar part ..
