Combining AC & DC signals

combining ac signal and dc signal

May I know how to combine DC signal with AC signal?

Let say I hv an AC signal of 5V, 50Hz, and I want to couple my DC signal, +2V, into this AC signal and form a combined AC signal. How to do this? Can a summing applifier achieve wat I want?

Basically, you have two options:
- passive, using 2 resistors
or
- active - resistors + opamp ..
The latter method, active that is, is more accurate but requires addition single or dual-voltage power supply .. here is an example:
